In particular, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum on the opening of the Tashkent branch of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey under the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey "TOBB". It is worth to note that the initiative to open a branch of the University was put forward by the Uzbek side during the negotiations of the Business Council of Turkic-speaking states, held in October 2019 in Tashkent. During the visit of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov to Turkey was held the Meeting with Vice-rector of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey (TOВВ) Yusuf Sarinay, where the parties have discussed issues on promising cooperation in the areas of undergraduate education, in particular entrepreneurship, digital commerce, corporate law based on the dual education system.

The branch was established in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 389, dated June 17, 2020. It is an innovative university focused on training entrepreneurs and high-tech specialists.The university operates on the "University-Industry" model. Our core value is the practical application of knowledge. Students study under the "Co-op" (Cooperative Education) system, alternating academic terms with full-time paid internships in various companies.The Tashkent branch of the TOBB University of Economics and Technology was established as part of the agreements between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey. The university serves as an innovative educational platform aimed at training international-level specialists capable of advancing the fields of entrepreneurship and the digital economy.
